What is the study field of Paleontology ?
Paleontology, a branch of archeobiology, conducts research on fossils belonging to human, animal and plant species that lived in various geological periods and helps to gain knowledge about living things living in geological periods. It is also known as paleontology, fossil science or stone science. In other words, it is the science that studies the fossils and biology of extinct organisms. The first paleontology studies started in the 19th century.
In paelontology, plant and animal fossils contained in today’s large rock fragments are examined, in this way, the prevailing life styles in the geological past are determined. This discipline examines ancient living species in all aspects (their forms, structures, taxonomic relationships with present-day species, geographical distribution and relations with the environment). In revealing the geological history of the earth layers, the data obtained from paleontology studies are used.
The theory of evolution comes to the fore mostly with studies in paleontology. This is because fossil discoveries have created a very suitable field for evolutionists to distort, biased interpretation and fraud. Indeed, the history of science is full of examples of fraudulent attempts to find evidence for the theory of evolution.
The false image that paleontology supports the theory of evolution is explained in an article in Science magazine:
Many well-educated scientists outside of the fields of evolutionary biology and paleontology, unfortunately, have the misconception that the fossil record is very compatible with Darwinism. This is probably due to the extraordinary simplification in secondary sources; lower-level textbooks, semi-popular articles, etc … On the other hand, there is probably some biased thinking involved. In the years after Darwin, his supporters expected advances in this direction (in the field of fossils). These developments were not achieved, but an optimistic wait continued, and some fanciful fantasies also entered the textbooks.
