Who wrote Madame Bovary ?
Madame Bovary, a realist novel in French literature, was written by famous French novelist Gustave Flaubert.
It was first serialized in the newspaper La Revue de Paris in 1856. It had been the target of criticism for obscenity reasons. In 1857, this time it was published as a book in 2 volumes.
A while after the book was published, it led to the birth of the Bovarism movement, which is the reflection of the characters in the novel to the outside world.
