What is Web Application used for ?
Nowadays, software development shows a trend towards the web environment. I think it will be about this environment in at least 10 years. What language or languages should we learn when we want to develop software for this environment?
In the past, software developers were able to develop applications very easily when they specialized in a language and database. Unfortunately, it is not enough to know a language and database topic for web applications today. The software developer has to master many formatting languages and programming languages. So can I learn a single programming language and develop a web application?
When Microsoft first introduced .Net in the years when it introduced the ASP.Net Web Forms environment, it provided an environment where even someone who does not know the web environment can write code. By dragging and dropping and writing methods for events, you have the opportunity to quickly develop code in this environment. You could develop applications for the web without even knowing HTML. However, even Microsoft, who saw that the load on the server side increased, gave up this idea and all these conveniences disappeared in the MVC environment. Even in the MVC environment, you have to know more than one language. This is true today for web developers in other programming languages. So which languages should we learn?
While preparing the content of the Web Design and Programming course, I decided to divide the course content into two topics as client and server side. In particular, I prepared my lecture notes at http://www.w3schools.com/, which I suggested in my classes. I am talking about client-side W3C standards and server-side programming languages / environments such as PHP, ASP.NET Web Forms and ASP.Net MVC. So what languages should we learn on the client and server side?
