What were the most important factors in the economic development of the Assyrians ?
The Assyrians were highly developed nations in terms both commerce and economics because they were located on two important trade routes such as Silk Road and Spice Road. They carried these economic superiorities to Anatolia and even dominated the entire Eastern Anatolia region for a while. Commercial centers established in Anatolia, called karum and wabartum, had an important role in Assyrians being economically strong.
