What are the symptoms of Hypersomnia ?
Hypersomnia can also be a symptom of other sleep disorders, such as sleep apnea. Taking certain medications, withdrawing from certain medications, or drug or alcohol addiction may have a negative effect. Genetic predisposition can also be a factor. In some cases, the tumor is caused by a physical problem, such as head injury or dysfunction of the autonomic or central nervous system.
Mood disorders such as depression, anxiety disorder, and bipolar disorder can also accompany hypersomnia. In these conditions, the complaint of excessive daytime sleepiness is often associated with poor sleep at night.
