What does Cannibalism mean ? What does it mean to be a Cannibal ?
Cannibalism is the name given to eating human flesh for the purposes of removing hunger and lack of food, religion, worship and magic.
As a word, Anthropohhagy consists of the Greek words “anthropos” (human) and “phagein” (food) and means “human eating”. This concept was used instead of the word “Cannibalism” until the 16th century, and with the discovery of America, it has been associated with “cannibalism”. The true origin of the word cannibal, derived from the root “Cannibale” in European languages, is based on the word “Caniba” in the Arawak language. While the Indians of the Lesser Antilles called themselves “Caniba”, which means “bold”, this word changed over time and was used to mean cannibals. According to the enemies of this people (Cuban Arawaks) this word means barbarism and savagery.
