Foods and beverages to be avoided by those on a paleo diet are :
Sugar and high-fructose corn syrup: Soft drinks, fruit juices, table sugar, confectionery, pastries, ice cream and so on.
Cereals: Pasta and breads, wheat, rye, barley, etc.
Legumes: Beans, lentils, etc.
Milk: Most dairy products, especially lean or low-fat ones. (some versions of the paleo diet contain full-fat foods such as whole milk and butter)
Some vegetable oils: soybean oil, sunflower oil, cottonseed oil, corn oil, grape seed oil, safflower oil and so on.
Trans fats: Margarine and found in various processed foods. It is often referred to as hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated oils.
Artificial sweeteners: Aspartame, sucralose, cyclamates, saccharin, acesulfame potassium. Natural sweeteners may be used instead.
Processed foods: Diet or anything that is low-fat or contains a large number of additives
